		Facilities

Students at KLMUC are exposed to a multi-cultural environment at the campus to prepare them for a successful career. The university invests millions of Ringgit to ensure students would have access to the latest technology and equipment in preparation for the real world.

With an inspiring view of the Petronas Twin Towers, the current KLMUC campus is located next to the junction of Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Sultan Ismail near the business, shopping and commercial districts of Kuala Lumpur. Other prominent office buildings, shopping complexes, hotels, restaurants, banks and others are also nearby.

The campus is well-connected to a public transportation system whereby a bus-stop is located in front of the campus while the Sultan Ismail Star line LRT station is only a block away. Within walking distance is the Medan Tuanku Monorail station.

The KLMUC city campus is comprised of two building blocks and the main facilities are consistently upgraded according to the needs of the market or the developments within the related industries.

A recent investment totalling RM2 million has been plowed into the project to build modern and sophisticated facilities for the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality.

These include three training kitchens which can accommodate 20 students during each session, a room for pastry production, an air-conditioned room for the fine art of chocolate preparation & ice-carving and several practical rooms. There is also a "kopitiam" styled café fully operated and managed by the faculty's students.

These are geared towards exposing students to the realities of the world outside. These crucial experiences will enable the transition from being students to becoming highly skilled potential employees for the industry.

Another RM1 million has been invested for the Faculty of Health Sciences to set up state-of-the-art labs and equipment. These labs provide a rich learning environment for the Medical Lab Technology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programmes.

The KLMUC campus offers a rich array of educational and sporting facilities such as:



Mini Auditorium Equipped with audio visual and LCD equipment for multi media presentations and is used for seminars and presentations.	Class Rooms Fitted with LCD projectors for multimedia presentations and computer-based learning experiences. All rooms can accommodate between 24 to 38 students per session.	Conference Rooms With capability to accommodate 30 persons at any one time, the conference rooms are ideal for meetings and multimedia presentations.


Computer Labs 40 IT & Multimedia labs with over 1,000 desktops for hands-on learning, fully-equipped with 2MB broadband accompanied by online facilities.	Studios 3 design studios complete with drawing tables for sketching and illustration.	Photography Studio Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.


Cyber Zone Situated in the Library complete with 100 high-end desktops with 2MB broadband internet access.	Library 4000 sq ft of learning resource centre equipped with 2,500 titles of references.	Cafeteria Take a break at our cafeteria which serves delicious Malaysian cuisine at affordable prices.


Gymnasuim The gym is well equipped and is located at the ground floor of Block 1.	Students' Activity Room A dedicated room for students' extra-curricular activities.	Practical Rooms for Hotel Operations Comprise of front desk amenities, fine dining rooms and guest rooms.


Skills Laboratory The facilities available are simulator equipment such as Lower Stump Bandaging, Self Breast Examination, Casualty Simulation Kit, Buttock mate Injection, Muscle mate Injection, nebulizer machine and instrument trays.	Medical Labroratory There are four medical labs, similar to a working medical lab. It includes equipments such as an emergency shower & eye wash, fume hood, biohazard cabinet, microscopes, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, incubator and laboratory oven.	Physiotherapy Laboratory There are two labs namely; Electrotherapy lab and Exercise therapy lab. Equipments for each lab are similar to a working physiotherapy lab which includes portable ultrasound, low & medium frequency therapy, infra-red laser unit, paraffin bath, parallel bars, local wall bars and treadmill.


Occupational Therapy Laboratory We have four labs which are the daily living activities lab (Home Modification), paediatric lab (Special Needs), splinting & biomechanics Lab (Nerve Injury) and kinesiology laboratory (Movement Analysis).	Science Laboratories Medical Lab Technician (MLT) students are the main users of these labs, equipped with biohazard cabinets, autoclaving equipment, fume hoods, spectrophotometers and auto-analysers.	Hospitality training rooms Include a Self-preparation area, Mock-up hotel guest room, Front Office Mock-up training room, Housekeeping Training Room and a 60-seater Training Restaurant.


Hospital Simulation Wards For student nurses use in the practical lessons. Facilities include beds with side lockers, a cot bed, manikins, wheelchairs, medication trolley, emergency trolley, an X-ray viewer and complete nursing tools.	Training kitchens Recently three training kitchens have been built that can accommodate 20 students each. The kitchen includes a combination oven, burner stoves with an oven, a salamander, griddle and deep fryer. Pastry kitchen There is a 3-deck oven, thermal heater, mixer, dough sheeter and kitchen aid mixer.	Student Operated Cafe Managed and operated by students from the daily operations, scheduling, manning, kitchen operations, service and so on.
