Programme Description
The diploma focuses on the development of practical skills in journalism, alongside relevant theory and professional education, including law and the media. These studies are carefully integrated with applied journalism to provide a well-rounded education designed to contribute to the preparation of intelligent and responsible journalists.
The course is conducted in small classes, with intensive training in news reporting and writing, technical skills (electronic publishing design and technology), focused teaching from senior journalists and educators and supervised work placements on daily and weekly newspapers, plus a curriculum designed with extensive industry input and approval.
