  Programme Description
  The diploma focuses on developing practical skills in journalism, alongside relevant theory and professional education, including law and the media. These studies are carefully integrated with applied journalism to provide a well-rounded education which produces intelligent and responsible journalists.

The curriculum of this course has been carefully designed with extensive industry input and approval. It is conducted in small classes, with intensive training in news reporting and writing, emphasis on technical skills (electronic publishing design and technology), practical-oriented teaching from senior journalists and educators and supervised work placements on daily and weekly newspapers.

  Programme Aims
     
  To produce graduates with superior journalistic skills and knowledge, thus giving them an edge in getting employment at entry-level positions.
  To put students through an exciting and stimulating programme focused on vocational outcomes, created on the advice of editors and journalists.
     
 
 
  Career Prospects
  Graduates can work as journalists, writers, news presenters, photojournalists, content developers, editors and all related work to journalism. Our alumni have secured jobs in many print and online publications.

DIPLOMA
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
SPM (with 3 credits).
Certificate in Communications from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Other qualifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
