Programme Description
 
The world of film and broadcasting is alive and kicking, providing the next generation of storytellers with new opportunities in front and behind the camera. This programme delivers both theoretical and practical lessons about the screen media. You will also be placed directly in the “action” role of broadcasting studios, which will build your skills and creative talents to a professional level, not to mention providing unparalleled experience.  
     

  Programme Aims
     
  To impart to students creative and technical skills and know-how for film, television and radio.
  To produce graduates capable of creating new and original story ideas, managing creative production and the development processes to realize a unique vision.
  To develop a balance between the artistic and commercial aspects of the industry and become exposed to a variety of practices and players.
     
 
 
  Career Prospects
   
  In the film industry, an array of employment opportunities awaits graduates with this diploma, including being a director, announcer, editor, scriptwriter, designer or producer. Many of our past graduates have secured employment as recording engineers, music producers, mixers, sound editors and studio managers. In the field of broadcast, there are numerous television and radio job opportunities to graduates holding this diploma. Vacancies include disc jockey, newscaster/reporter, sound engineer, programme director, host, production manager, director or station manager.

DIPLOMA
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
SPM (with 3 credits).
Certificate in Communications from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Other qualifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
