  The Faculty offers University Core subjects which involve English Language subjects and Critical and Creative Thinking subject. The Faculty also offers the MOHE Compulsory subjects. These subjects are compulsory for all students of the University. Other subjects offered are Mandarin Language and French Language. These are offered to students of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism.
   
  Programme Description
   
  The English Language subjects enable students to acquire the skills and knowledge of the language to become proficient users of the language. This would help students to cope with future academic courses, communicate effectively, develop positive attitudes and confidence in their spoken and written language proficiency.
   
  MOHE Compulsory Subjects
     
  MOHE Compulsory Subjects are for all students. All Malaysian students are compelled to attend classes and pass these compulsory subjects as a pre-requisite to the award of a certificate, diploma or degree. Student who are non-citizens have the options whether to attend these classes or not, and it is not compulsory for them to pass these subjects.
     
  Foreign Languages
   
  Students of Hospitality and Tourism are required to study Mandarin and French Language. This will provide them with an opportunity to understand the importance of learning a different language as a means to develop international communication awareness, and to develop basic competence for participation in a variety of social and intercultural settings.
   
  Critical And Creative Thinking Subject
   
  This subject serves to develop individuals who value knowledge, learning and the creative process, and who can think consciously, deliberately and skillfully. It is designed to promote students' academic development, focusing on critical thinking skills and the academic tools needed for the success in core curriculum courses.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
DIPLOMA
SPM (with 3 credits in any subject)
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 3 subjects inclusive of 1 Science subject
Other qualifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education(MOHE)
