Programme Description
This diploma is designed to prepare students for exciting careers in this dynamic field. Through classroom and laboratory experience, graduates gain in-depth knowledge of the components and systems that make up the global telecommunications network. Starting with the basics of electronics, electrical and computing, students learn about the media and devices that transport and direct communication signals through that network. Students become familiar with current technology and develop the tools they will need to work with future advances.
The program provides students with a good foundation in the fundamentals of telecommunications, including satellite communications, digital media broadcasting, mobile communications, broadband technologies and internetworking. Students will be exposed to formal standards and practices which equip them with the most up-to-date techniques for successfully implementing and using a telecommunication system.
