  Programme Description
   
  This Diploma in Telecommunication train students in building, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide variety of telecommunications systems and equipment. Students use state-of-the-art test equipment to study the characteristics of electronic devices and circuits in telecommunication systems, develop troubleshooting skills, and gain an understanding of electronics. Graduates will gain necessary skills for immediate employment in the telecommunication industry, majoring in design, product development, mobile communication, maintenance, installation, testing troubleshooting and technical sales.

  To equip students with necessary foundation and expertise for the electronic and communication industries
  To provide students with essential hands-on skills
  To expose students to real world applications of telecommunication systems and industry
     
  Career Prospects
   
  There are various positions in Telecommunication Engineering Industry and Services that can be filled by quality graduates such as data communication technicians, technical support engineers, assistant engineers, assistant design engineers, assistant R&D engineers, production technicians, marketing & sales technicians and service engineers.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
SPM / SPMV with 3 credits inclusive of Mathematics
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and 1 Science subject
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia
   
Note: Specific programmes require certain subjects or other / additional qualifications to be eligible.
