	Programme Description


	This Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Information Technology is geared towards producing ICT professionals capable of producing new technological innovations. Students will acquire strong programming and software development skills to meet the requirements of the ICT industry. This programme addresses the fact that information technology is a challenging and rapidly changing field that requires a participant to constantly adapt to the changing landscape. The programme structure incorporates all vital aspects necessary for a career in software development and train students with the skills to function effectively.

	Programme Aims

	•	To provide graduates with a comprehensive understanding of the skills, principles and techniques relating to Software Engineering
	•	To produce knowledgeable graduates equipped with positive ethics/values and marketable skills
	•	To reinforce students with ICT knowledge and experience through industrial training
	•	To develop students’ self-confidence and self-reliance through academic activities such as public presentation, communication and negotiation

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

•	STPM or A-Level with 2 principals inclusive of Pengajian Am, or
•	Diploma or A-Level, Foundation Courses, Matriculation, Pre University and other equivalent qualifications and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM
•	Completed Foundation Programme in the relevant field approved by MOHE
•	Other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia
