  Programme Description
   
  The Diploma in Tourism Management expose students to global tourism and hospitality practices; while providing them with a good understanding of recent trends and ethical issues that exist in the dynamic and fast-paced tourism industry. The programme combines with theoretical and practical training including essential leadership, management and professional training, necessary to gain entry-level management positions.

To equip students with the basics in tourism management
 
To apply and review management principles and technical skills relevant to the industry
 
To create and develop professionals who are able to undertake various managerial functions in tourism operations
 
To prepare students with theoretical awareness and practical experience to raise the quality of the tourism industry
     
  Career Prospects
   
  Upon completion of this programme, graduates can work in various sectors of the industry, including hotels, travel agencies, sports clubs, casinos, and exhibition or convention centres. Graduates can also work as tour coordinators, travel advisors and travel sales & marketing representatives.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
SPM (with 3 credits) in any subjects or other equivalent qualifications by Government of Malaysia
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 3 subjects
Certificate in any field from a recognised Polytechnic
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia
