Programme Description

This degree programme introduces both the meeting planner's and convention service manager's perspectives to help you understand and appreciate the demands of the hospitality industry. You will learn to analyze data that can make or break conventions and meetings, plus the most effective techniques for reaching target markets and making sales. You will be taught leadership, organising and co-ordinating skills, management and the professionalism necessary for entry-level managerial positions through a combination of theoretical and practical training.

	•	To provide relevant, effective training for middle management in all areas of the industry.
	•	To enable graduates to conduct research and development that will benefit their future employers.

		Career Prospects

		The hospitality and M.I.C.E. industries is growing. The course gives graduates the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed for management positions in these two related industries. With so many sub-sectors, the job prospects are excellent for graduates in this field. DIPLOMA
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
•	SPM (with 3 credits) in any subjects or other equivalent qualifications.
•	Certificate in any field from a recognised institution of higher learning.

DEGREE
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
•	STPM (with 2 principal passes), A-Levels or Diploma.
•	Completed Diploma from a recognised institution of higher learning.
•	Other equivalent qualifications.
