  Programme Description
  This diploma produces pharmacy assistants with a strong theoretical knowledge in pharmacy equipped with practical skills in preparing and dispensing medication. It is ideal for students with a scientific background who enjoy the meticulous work required in the pharmacy field.
     

  Programme Aims
     
  To enable graduates to operate as a competent pharmacy assistant in a hospital or pharmacy.
     
 
 
  Career Prospects
  Pharmacy assistants can work in public or private hospital pharmacies, private pharmacies, universities and research institutions. Graduates may also pursue higher education in medical science, biomedicine, biotechnology or bioinformatics.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
DIPLOMA
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
SPM (with 3 credits) in any subjects or other equivalent qualifications.
For Occupational Therapy programme, a credit in Science and a pass in Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.
For the MLT programme, a credit in Mathematics and Science and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required or pass UEC with 1B and minimum ‘C’ for Science, Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia and English.
For the Pharmacy programme, a credit in Mathematics, Science and English is required.
For the Physiotherapy programme, a credit in Science or Sport Science is required an a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
For Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programmes, candidates should not have any disabilities that may affect their studies and future employment.
For Nursing programme, 5 credit inclusive of Mathematics and Science, a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.
