Programme Description

Graduates from this diploma will be able to work in the healthcare profession. The program emphasizes the use of physical approaches in the treatment of diseases and disabilities, in particular those associated with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Students will also learn how to prevent problems relating to these elements. This program is suitable for individuals who are interested in healthcare and desire to contribute directly to the betterment of patients' mental and physical wellbeing.

To impart knowledge of basic medical subjects in the practice of physiotherapy.
To develop skills and techniques, plus professional attitude, compassion and concern for patients under the care of health workers.
To demonstrate research skills and guide students towards the opportunity of higher studies in this field.
To demonstrate skills in research and guidance leadings to higher studies.
To instill moral and ethical values in graduates that last throughout their working life.
 
 

 

Career Prospects

Physiotherapy graduates are in great demand in government hospitals and clinics, private hospitals, home care, elderly care homes, special schools for children both locally and overseas. Graduates can also pursue higher studies such as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT).
