	Programme Description


	The Diploma in Occupational Therapy train students to possess the relevant knowledge and skills to care for people of all ages with varying disabilities. The programme expose students to essential practice and professionalism required as an occupational therapist. Suitable for individuals who want to contribute towards society by helping patients, whether it's abled or disabled.

	Programme Aims

	•	To develop motivated health professionals in the field of Occupational Therapy
	•	To produce occupational therapists who are professional, competent and efficient in their respective field
	•	To help students in planning and carrying out therapeutic interventions for people of all ages with the aim of restoring occupational health and wellbeing

	Career Prospects

	Occupational Therapists are constantly in high demand especially in government & private hospitals, health clinics, day care centres, Geriatric centres and special children care centres. Graduates can pursue higher education in their same field or take up Medical Science, Biomedicine, Biotechnology or Rehabilitation Management.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

•	SPM / SPMV / O-Level (with 3 credits) in any subjects or other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia
•	UEC with at least Grade B on 3 subjects inclusive of 1 Science subject
•	Credit in Science and a pass in Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia and English is required
•	Candidates should not have any disabilities that may affect their studies or future employment
