	Programme Description


	The Diploma in Medical Imaging train students to be competent diagnostic radiographers capable of handling equipment used for identifying diseases and/or injuries of patients.

	Programme Aims

	•	Provide graduates with a foundation in radiation medicine, biological and behavioural sciences for understanding human biology, behaviour and diseases
	•	To integrate knowledge with clinical skills and judgment in implementing diagnostic procedures for specific needs of each patient
	•	To analyse images and provide a quality assurance programme for the department
	•	To use computers and research methods in their work

	Career Prospects

	Upon completion of this programme, graduates can work as a diagnostic radiographer in public or private hospitals.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

•	SPM / SPMV / O-Level (with 3 credits) in any subjects or equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia
•	UEC with at least Grade B on 3 subjects inclusive of 1 Science subject
•	Credit in Bahasa Malaysia, any one Science subject (preferably Physics) and one other subjects not including Literature.
