  Programme Description
This programme trains you to become a Registered Nurse who is certified and approved by the Malaysian Nursing Board. The programme lays a broad foundation of theory, knowledge and clinical applications thereof. The balance between learning the appropriate techniques and knowledge and practising them is split exactly 50/50. You will also learn to develop critical thinking and sharpen your soft skills, too.

  Programme Aims

To produce safe, caring nursing practitioners who are able to critically analyze and competently solve patients' healthcare problems.

  Career Prospects

Nurses have a choice to specialize in various fields such as midwifery, pediatrics, cardiothoracics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, medical and surgical, geriatrics, public health and many more. Nurses are also given opportunities to advance in their nursing education. Diploma holders can progress towards a Degree, Masters or PhDs in nursing which can be done either locally or abroad. Overall, demand for professionally trained and qualified nurses is higher in Malaysia than elsewhere in the world. At least 130,000 nurses need to be trained by 2020 to meet the nurse-to-patient ratio of the World Health Organization.
