  Programme Description
   
  Landscape Architecture is a profession that emphasises on the integration of people with the external environment. Planning is infused with the right elements of art and design to ensure the landscape design is in harmony with the natural surroundings. The Diploma in Landscape Architecture provide students with a solid foundation in landscaping theories, principles and methods to create a sustainable landscape design, focusing on functional and aesthetic values. Approaches of actual integration projects are also used to facilitate students' method of designing. Students learn to think critically and innovatively while being hands-on with the projects. This practice helps to train students to work independently as well as a team member, capable of delivering world-class design.

  Career Prospects
   
  Graduates have the options of working either in landscape consulting companies, landscape contractor firms, finishing materials companies, landscape maintenance companies, local authority (landscaping), botanical gardens or resource management companies.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
SPM / SPMV (3 credits inclusive of Mathematics and pass in Bahasa Malaysia)
O-Level (3 credits inclusive of Mathematics) or UEC with at least Grade B in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics or other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia.
A Certificate from Polytechnic in the similar field
Additonal requirement includes a pass in Art Studies / Engineering Drawing at SPM level or equivalent. Candidates without or failed Art Studies / Engineering Drawing (SPM level) are required to attend an interview to present their artwork
