		Programme Description
		This programme offers professional pathways into womenswear and menswear and is designed for creative, ambitious and talented students wishing to contribute creatively to the fashion industry. The challenging course structure is specially designed to enable students to develop an individual approach to commercial viability. In addition to receiving high-quality teaching, you will be inspired to play an active role in the local fashion scene through many exciting avenues. They include involvement in major shows and exhibitions, as well as prestigious competitions organized by
Malaysia’s top fashion organizations such as MIFA, MODA and Batik Guild. You will gain invaluable experience in confronting the challenges of the real world of the fashion industry while cultivating and perfecting your personal vision.

	Programme Aims

	•	To equip students with both the broad technical knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for a successful career in the fashion industry
	•	To develop their ability to conceptualize and produce designs of recognized international standards that meet the ever-changing tastes and trends of the fashion market
	•	To provide a rounded introduction to the fashion trade and offer guaranteed access to KLMUC’s Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion


Career Prospects
Graduates can work in a broad range of markets and levels as designers, fashion buyers, merchandisers, illustrators, fashion journalists, fabric/color researchers, stylists and others.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

DIPLOMA
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
•	SPM with 3 credits and a pass in Art Studies. Candidates without Art Studies in SPM are required to attend an interview to present their artwork.
•	Other equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution of higher learning.

Foundation in Design
•	SPM (with 5 credits) in any subject or
•	Other equivalent qualifications.

DEGREE
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
•	STPM (with 2 principal passes) including Pengajian Am or Diploma, A-Levels, Foundation courses, Matriculation, Pre University and other equivalent qualifications and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM.
•	Other equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution of higher learning.
